About
I am navigating life with extraordinary travel dreams
Hi, I'm Muzz! I'm a part-time travel blogger from Perth, Western Australia. I’m not here to sell you a course, convince you to quit your job, or push the idea of becoming a full-time travel blogger.
I have immense respect and admiration for individuals who choose the full-time travel and blogging lifestyle. However, the sort of person I am leads me to believe that I'd lose the purpose of travelling and the charm of new places if I were on the road 24/7. I prefer to enjoy each trip for what it is, rather than making travel my entire life.
I'm all about finding that sweet spot between soaking up new cultures, maintaining a sense of purpose, and achieving balance in my life. For me, travel is not just about ticking off destinations; it's about immersing myself in diverse ways of life, gaining new perspectives, and learning valuable lessons that shape both my travels and my everyday life.
I am an ordinary man with extraordinary dreams of travelling and exploring places I haven't been before. Probably just like you.

I created this website to record and share my experiences with people. My story may offer recommendations and suggestions. It might also serve as inspiration for your next journey or, at the very least, provide you with some help in planning.

My Photography Gear
You don't need very expensive camera gear to take good high-quality images. Having said that, you do need a smartphone with nice camera, and that is enough. I only use my phone. If you could equip yourself with the knowledge of composition and lighting, your photos will always be fantastic.
There are thousands of articles out there that can help you understand the photo composition and use of natural light in photography. I have also written a blog post about rule of thirds; you can read that by clicking here. Learn that and teach it to your travel partner or buy a tripod if travelling solo.
Clothes that I travel with
Since everyone has their own unique style and preference when it comes to clothing. What looks good on one person may not necessarily look good on another. People have different body types, skin tones, personalities, and lifestyles, and all these factors play a significant role in determining their clothing preferences.

Therefore, instead of suggesting, I would share what I travel with.
One t-shirt for every new day. I buy my t-shirts from Target. Maximum 7 t-shirts.
One pair of convertible cargo pants for every two days. I always buy my cargos from Mountain Designs. Maximum 3.
One piece of undergarments for every new day. Maximum 7 Socks/Underwear.
Two pair of sneakers and one of them should be waterproof preferably with Gore-Tex material.
Two full sleeve Fleece Pullovers and One waterproof down jacket for winter. I bought them from Macpac.
Two hats if Summer, Two Beanies if Winter. Sunglasses.
Toothbrush, toothpaste and hand sanitizer. And that is all.
Favourite travel quotes
"Travel throughout the land and see how HE originated the creation."
"Travel isn't always about the excitement of the flight ahead or going to new places: it's about uncovering the layers of who we are. The journey isn't merely from point A to B; it's an exploration of self. And self-discovery leads us to understanding our place in the world."
“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
“To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it’s taken for granted.”
“If the end is near, let’s make it memorable by wandering through the wonders of the world."
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines, and sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
I love reading books in beautiful places; it extends the experience of the location and makes the moment last longer.
FAQs
How and when did you first catch the travel bug?
I first got the travel bug when I was just 8 years old. My parents took me to Saudi Arabia for the religious pilgrimage. While I was too young to fully grasp the spiritual significance, I was utterly captivated by the different culture around me. The landscapes, different language, and food were a whirlwind of excitement that left me completely awestruck. Experiencing such a vastly different world at a young age ignited a lifelong passion for exploring new places and cultures.
What do you love most about travelling?
What I love most about travelling is the opportunity to immerse myself in different cultures and meet new people. I always learn something new from the languages, traditions, and ways of life I encounter, which also helps break down my own prejudices. I love being wrong about other cultures, places, and people because it means I have learned something new. Navigating unfamiliar places has taught me resilience and adaptability. Each adventure fills me with a sense of accomplishment and newfound confidence, knowing that I have emerged stronger and more resilient.
Did your passion for travel come first, or did the idea for your blog? Why did you start blogging?
Travelling came first. The idea for the blog emerged after friends and family kept asking for travel tips and stories. I realised a blog would be a great way to share my experiences. I only started documenting after my trip to central Europe in 2022, which is why you’ll find my travel experiences taken since 2022.
What advice would you give to others thinking of documenting their own travels in this way?
When it comes to sharing your travels, keep it real. Write about what genuinely excites and interests you—it'll make your stories come alive. Quality comes from your own experiences, so dive into each adventure fully and capture the moments that really speak to you.
Where are some of your favourite places that you have visited? Why are these your favourites?
There's nothing quite like Australia—it has everything you could ever dream of. But some of my absolute favourite places to visit outside of Australia include Salzburg and Innsbruck in Austria, as well as Vietnam in Southeast Asia.
Vietnam's landscapes are simply mind-blowing, from stunning mountains to lush green rice paddies. It's also surprisingly affordable, which makes exploring even more enjoyable. The warmth and hospitality of the locals left a lasting impression on me.
On the other hand, Salzburg and Innsbruck in Austria are like scenes from a movie. Nestled in the breathtaking Alpine landscapes, these cities offer beautiful, serene rivers, charming streets perfect for strolling. These cities are perfect for exploring on foot or by bike, and they offer easy day trips to fairy-tale villages nearby.
How do you plan your trips and document your experiences?
When I plan my trips, I prioritise activities that genuinely interest me. During my travels, I immerse myself fully in the experience, capturing moments through photos and making notes as I go. This approach ensures that my content is authentic, reflecting my true journey and discoveries rather than focusing solely on creating blog material.
